On the level of the stone cut, the company works in majority with local and regional contractors, private individuals and mainly manufactures elements for the sector of the building with its stone: lintels, framings, stairs, above of walls, pillars, and too for decoration: massive sinks, chimneys, fountains, etc...
The funerary one is a tradition and an activity which always existed within this company ardéchoise. It manufactures on average two monuments per month out of stone of Ruoms and the installation of around fifty per year. \ \ We let us manufacture 50% of them and the remainder comes from the Tarn and Bretagne. Our cemeteries were at the “calcareous” base very and this is why we continue to perpetuate this tradition of the use of the stone. We also ensure, upstream, the installation of caveaux prefabricated and with final the ornamentation and the engraving of the steles//. This last operation is carried out by Nicolas Lestra itself which passed its CAP of engraving after that of stone cut to CFA of Montalieu.
It is not common in the trades of the stone only one company controls the activities of quarrier jointly, of cut of stone and funerary. It is the case of this company which lies within the scope of a local tradition where the stone mason is the general-purpose person having all to manage on the level of the sector of the stone, of the extraction to the product
